Management

Trading Operations & Market Surveillance

Lead and have oversight for ensuring regulatory compliance and promoting fair, orderly and transparent markets for all SMX listed instruments
Work closely with the regulatory agencies to develop and enforce rules and regulations for market participants while continually updating internal policies and procedures
Ability to effectively communicate and enforce surveillance programs.

Training in Commodity Products

Design training modules and develop course content for all SMX products.
Conduct training programs in the fundamentals of derivatives trading as well as on specific products, trading and surveillance, risk management, clearing and settlement procedures, and the requirements of the Securities and Futures Act
Have exemplary communication and teaching skills. Exposure to simulated trading applications will be an added advantage

Experienced Professionals

Have relevant experience of 5 to 8 years

Research & Product Development

Part of a team for research and design of specific new product offering
Consult industry and physical market players to design contract specifications
Possess in-depth knowledge of cash or derivative markets in respect of any of the following products: metals, energy, agricultural commodities or currencies

Business Development

Assist senior business development managers in representing SMX to potential clients, intermediaries, advisors, such as brokers, banks, corporates and financial institutions.
Independently provide after-sales support to an initial portfolio of clients
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with SMX customers
Work experience in Singapore, Hong Kong or Asia Pacific is a plu

Membership

Design and introduce membership terms based on SMX product line by working with all relevant business units.
Point of contact for all membership queries and needs and will provide regular updates to members on products offered.
Proactively maintain and develop relationship with Members.
Possess excellent communication skills and ability to engage Members on a regular basis

Training in Commodity Products

Assist in designing training modules and course content for all SMX products.
Plan and execute logistic requirements of each training program in consultation with senior trainer
Have exemplary communication and organisation skills. Exposure to simulated trading applications will be an added advantage

Risk Management

Set risk threshold policies and review these in response to changes in market conditions
Conduct daily, weekly, monthly and annual stress tests to determine exposure, especially of participants holding large positions
Strong quantitative risk analysis skills preferred

Member Supervision

Develop rules and regulations for market participation by working closely with market regulator
Communicate regulatory policy to member firms and conduct audits to ensure compliance
Knowledge of exchange rules, bylaws and regulatory framework essential
Compliance and audit experience an added advantage

Trading Operations & Market Surveillance

Carry out day to day operations of an Exchange
Respond to member queries in a timely manner
Able to prioritise with exceptional organisational and communication skills
Ensure regulatory compliance by members and promote fair, orderly and transparent markets for all SMX listed instruments
Work closely with the regulatory agencies to develop and enforce rules and regulations for market participants while continually updating internal policies and procedures
Ability to effectively communicate and enforce surveillance programs.

Data Access & Test Centres

Support external parties (ISVs, Data & Network Vendors, Members) requiring trading and clearing access, trading work station and data
Single point of contact for external parties and internal users
Knowledge of MS technologies, financial markets, market access and data with strong interpersonal skills essential.
Support external parties on testing of trading and clearing access, trading work station and data
Manage test centre booking and operations
Knowledge of MS technologies, financial markets, market access and data with strong interpersonal skills essential.
Experience in quality assurance and user testing an added advantage

Clearing & Settlement

Handle clearing and settlement operations and collection of margins
Liaise with the Clearing Banks and Clearing Members for intra-day and daily settlement activities.
Assist in managing delivery of products and co-ordinate with regional and international warehouses and quality appraisers.

Internal Audit

Develop audit manuals and procedures and execute audit projects and recommend improvement measures and corrective actions.
Formulate and implement policies for systems and control procedures with the aim of achieving good corporate governance and risk control measures
Maintain internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points, together with issues raised by external regulators.

Quality Assurance

Manage all quality assurance activities for the Exchange
Conduct test for quality in trading, clearing, risk management and surveillance applications for real-time electronic trading and operations
Work closely with business operations team to implement viable solutions for evolving business needs
Extensive experience in MS technologies (MS.NET, C# Or C++, SQL Server) and Windows platforms (2005/2003/2000/NT)
Experience in automated testing and enterprise testing tools an advantage

IT Infrastructure

Manage all IT Infrastructure such as systems, servers, security, broadband and telephone communications
Design, develop, enhance, implement and maintain a world class IT Infrastructure for real time electronic trading and operations
Extensive experience in MS technologies (MS.NET, C# Or C++, SQL Server), Windows platforms (2005/2003/2000/NT), IT network and security systems (CISCO, Juniper, IBM ISS, RSA)
